Volunteering
1/5

The beauty of the Stony Run and neighboring Parks is enhanced and protected through countless hours of volunteer boots on the ground, gloved hands plucking, picking, snipping, shoveling, planting and watering.

We organize several events each year to bring volunteers together in action. Our largest annual event is part of a major mobilization throughout the region each Spring, the Alliance for the Chesapeake’s annual Project Clean Stream. We also host several Baltimore Weed Warrior events each year, as well as tree and native perennial plantings and maintenance. Get on our mailing list, keep an eye on our calendar and follow us on Facebook to learn about upcoming events.

We also work with local schools, businesses, churches and scout troops to plan impactful projects for their volunteers throughout the watershed. Contact friends.stony.run@gmail.com if your organization is interested in planning an event.

Friends of Stony Run is a volunteer-based organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the entire Stony Run stream valley.

Parks & People Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, serves as the fiscal agent and mailing address for the Friends of Stony Run.
